The Cognac vineyard is a strictly controlled production area of 78,000 ha, first outlined in 1909 and is home to 4,300 growers, about 110 distillers and 280 merchants. They represent the beating heart of the thoroughly international spirit, exported to more than 150 countries across the globe.
