Prior to joining the events team, Alex worked in a variety of roles within the hospitality sector. While attending Cardiff University, Alex gained experience organising and managing events across England and Wales for a small independent bar company. In that role, Alex developed a life-changing passion for the wine and spirits industry and has since looked to expand his knowledge and skills. Most recently, he acquired a qualification in Japanese whisky from the House of Suntory.

Having been a teacher and ski instructor in his previous life, David wanted a return to the large shows he had previously organised and joined The Whisky Exchange events team ready for his next challenge. He's project managed everything from televised awards to international events and the opportunity to work on The Whisky Exchange's shows proved irresistible.
Not only is Dawn Davies a Master of Wine and The Whisky Exchange's head buyer, she also leads the events team. With two decades of working in the drinks industry behind her, including time as a sommelier in London's top restaurants and as the head of Selfridges wine and spirits team, she's now added 'creating the world's finest drinks events' to her impressive portfolio.

She is looking forward to continuing her passions of both delivering elite shows and expanding her knowledge of the drinks industry.
Event and Marketing Coordinator
The gentle hum of a glass of Champagne lured Oliver away from a respectable career, and then the siren song of Cognac drew him to further into the world of drinks where he organises the marketing for our events. Oliver started at The Whisky Exchange doing our Social Media before moving across to the Events Team. Endlessly fascinated by the fine points of difference between the hundreds of bottles we exhibit he hopes one day to have half the knowledge of Dawn Davies MW.
