For more than two centuries the house of Delamain has been setting the standards of authenticity, integrity and purity in a quest to create the highest possible cognac expression. In this unwavering pursuit of cognac's "truth" we honour the accumulated wisdom of those generations who came before and we also, as they before us, honour the lessons of nature and time. The three pillars in any search for cognac's truth; wisdom, nature and time.

As a result the House of Delamain is today considered a touchstone as to the essence of cognac's extraordinary potential, ensconced at the heart of cognac's history, at the heart of its geography (Grande Champagne) and at the heart of its craftmanship.

Delamain's involvement in cognac dates back to the arrival of Irishman James Delamain in 1759. In 1824 James's grandson Henri, along with his cousin, founded Roullet & Delamain and the firm stayed in business under this name for another four generations until 1920 when the Delamain family was left as sole owner and the name was changed to today's Delamain & Co.

Delamain today is managed by 9th generation family member Charles Braastad, who together with Cellar Master of 29 years, Dominique Touteau, remains true to the Delamain ideal - creating cognacs in their purest expression, revealing cognac's extraordinary sensory potential. In 2017, the Bollinger family, with whom Delamain has had a twenty-five-year relationship became a majority shareholder. For the House of Delamain, a wonderful step towards ensuring that the gifts of the past can be transferred well into the future.

Delamain has carved out a singular and exacting role in the cognacsphere as "Guardians of Time" and the crafter of some of the world's finest cognacs.
