ALABAT is, above all, a tribute to my great-grandfather, Abel Labat. A shepherd turned farmer in the Landes, he became in the early 1950s the owner of a small Armagnac estate in the village of Saint-Gein.

Shortly before his passing, a fire broke out in his cellar. A few bottles were saved at the last moment and have rested in the family cellar ever since, relics of a bygone era.

Discovering my great-grandfather's winemaking story, and tasting his 1954 vintage rescued from the flames, gradually fuelled my passion for Armagnac. ALABAT was born from this family history and the dream of writing its next chapter.

It also stems from a desire to bring Armagnac to a place of excellence among contemporary spirits. Through countless encounters with the men and women who work this land, I became deeply convinced that, alongside their remarkable work, Armagnac now deserves a bold, innovative and luminous new image.

ALABAT is the dream of writing a new page in Armagnac's history, while continuing to celebrate its terroir, its family stories, and the work of remarkable estates.

ALABAT is designed for a new generation of spirits enthusiasts: those who seek provenance, complexity and meaning in what they drink. Whether enjoyed neat, with a drop of water, or as the soul of an elevated cocktail, ALABAT offers an experience that is both deeply rooted and distinctly modern.
